Photograph by Leslie Hinge. 3 Responses MrF November 4, 2012 Obvious Photoshop. I’m disappointed in you, Retronaut. Reply Flight November 4, 2012 It’s a little-known fact that gigantic chrome fish like the one in the picture were harvested almost to extinction in the 40s and 50s, when cars were massive and chrome-laden land-yachts. The chrome fish devastation explains why cars today have very little chrome on them. Reply exstock May 1, 2014 Faked, but not with Photoshop. Look at the museum record [ http://tapuhi.natlib.govt.nz/cgi-bin/spydus/NAV/GLOBAL/OPHDR/1/558929 ] –the implication is that while it’s a fake, it was faked over a century ago. In other words, still an interesting historical image. ReplyReport user Leave a Reply Cancel Reply Your email address will not be published.
