    It’s a myth that these anti-masturbation ‘devices’ were ever used by the Victorians. Although a few of these were apparantly designed, there isn’t any evidence to support the claim that anyone ever used them and they certainly weren’t used widely. Unfortunately this myth keeps getting repeated.

    The ones that do sometimes turn up are usually fakes.
