    So beautiful. Paradise lost.

    A bit later than this, but Buster Keaton shot many of his 1920s films in the streets of Hollywood and the rest of the Los Angeles area (rather than in sets). You can often see familiar streets and landmarks at a much earlier stage of the game.

    Not as early or as beautiful as these scenes, though.
