Photos of my collection of vintage toys from the 1960s. The Louis Marx Toy Company was the largest toy manufacturer in the world in the 1950s-1970s. Marx included other divisions like LineMar, Elm and Heimo (a German subsidiary). The Marx company was purchased by Quaker Oats in the early 1970s and was soon dissolved. Some lines like Johnny West were sold of to brands like Gabriel. The Marx company’s assets are scattered around the world. Many figures still in production from countries like Mexico and China.
