These clips are all from the Nottingham (UK) Evening Post dated 21 July 1969. I saved it because – like every newspaper of the time – the front page story was the Apollo 11 moon landing. But away from the front page the world carried on as normal. – which can get overlooked. So these are a few examples of what was happening in average everyday life at a more mundane level, on the day that Neil Armstrong was up there taking his giant steps.
