The Kickapoo people (i.e. Native American, Indian, aboriginal, indigenous) live in the mid-west of North America (originally in what is now Illinois and Indiana, and later in Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma). It is completely unclear whether this herbal concoction had anything to do with this tribe or any other tribe. It looks as though “Texas Charlie” Bigelow, whoever he was, went (or came back to) the eastern United States, and used the Kickapoo name and imagery to market the product. It is possible that he had learned of this mixture from the Kickapoo, but we really can’t tell. The pamphlet also provides fun facts, e.g. how long various species of animals will live.
