I found this photo at the estate sale of a local Greek family. They ran a diner in Pittsburgh’s Hill District (a then-thriving African-American neighborhood where Romare Beardon and August Wilson live, and which Teenie Harris photographed). This is a photo of the diner’s interior. It was located on Wylie Avenue, the main road on “the Hill.”
