Reply Mabelescent January 7, 2013 The woman in the top photo is Mabel Normand, one of the silent movies’ greatest comediennes. In 1912 (roughly when that photo was taken), Mabel starred in a short film called “A Dash Through the Clouds” which centered around her love of flying.
