Reply eydie July 8, 2012 i bet women bargain hunted back then the same way we do now. and sewing your own was a viable option. hard to sew pearls, ha ha. if you look at haute couture today, it runs into thousands of dollars for an outfit. that’s why you buy knock offs that look just as good if not better.
